Who is the workshop for?
The workshop is for everyone, from complete beginners through to intermediate level, as well as those with more experience.

What will we be using?
We’ll be using a range of drawing materials on paper and employing a variety of techniques and applications.

What will we be hoping to achieve?
Drama and atmosphere can be created in a number of ways in a black and white drawing, and we will be experimenting with a variety of techniques that convey different moods, from the enigmatic to the dramatic. We will be creating exciting compositions by choosing unusual viewpoints, cropping the image, and using stark contrast between light and shade. You will be shown several ways in which tone and composition can establish the mood of a painting. The subject matter will be varied.
