All abilities welcome, but some experience of painting in either watercolour or gouache is recommended.

Although in essence, gouache is an opaque medium, we will be looking at how it can also be used in a way that allows you to create thin washes similar to those used in watercolour painting. We will be focusing on boats and water and looking at ways in which reflections can be suggested with a combination of semi-opaque and opaque washes.

We will be unravelling the mysteries of reflections and simplifying their sometimes complex patterns to produce some exciting paintings using a variety of techniques.
