A 7-day holiday to the island of Kalymnos, Greece

Join Kevin Scully for a week’s painting on the wonderful Greek island of Kalymnos. After a flight to nearby Kos, you will travel by ferry to the port of Pothia. From here you will be met by your hosts and escorted the short distance to your hotel accommodation.
The week will begin with a short sightseeing trip around the island where we will be stopping at the Agios Savvas Monastery, which provides an excellent elevated view over the island’s capital Pothia and other parts of Kalymnos. We will also visit the lovely bay of Vlyhadia for lunch and the chance for a quick dip in the sea if you wish.
When we are not painting in Myrties or Masouri where we are based, we will leave our accommodation at about 10am each day and travel to a variety of inspiring painting locations.
On one day we will take the short ferry ride to the wonderful, peaceful island of Telendos where we can spend the whole day painting ruins, boats, and café scenes.
On another day we will visit the main town Pothia with its interesting Italian influenced architecture and atmospheric back streets.
We will also be transported by either coach or boat (weather forecast permitting) to Emborios affording wonderful views on route to this lovely resort.
There will be a trip to Vathy with its soaring Fjord-like entrance and a wonderful hidden painting place.
Apart from the 2 group dinners at one of the island’s excellent tavernas you are free to choose where you would like to eat each evening.
The holiday is for painters of all levels of experience. Tuition will be relaxed and informal, and as the group will be small, everyone will receive plenty of individual attention.
